Karen's backstory: Karen was living in New York City as an art student at NYU and playing in a downtown noise band at CBGB's when she met Hank Moody. Nine months after they met, Karen had their daughter, Rebecca. And the rest is history...

There has been something bugging me, I was wondering if someone could help me. i have and auntie who dated David Duchovny at one point and i have been told that he even purposed to her (could be false). The character karen looks remarkable like her and has some of her personality traits. So could any major fans please tell me, who is the character was based on?
